Situated on the coast overlooking the sea, our apartment is in the south of the island 10 minutes from the Tenerife South Airport, in the recently developed Golf Del Sur district.

There are scheduled daily and charter flights to Tenerife South Airport from many U.K. airports. Take a look at the Monarch & Thomson Fly web sites for some good prices and sensible flight times. |
The accommodation sleeps four people. It has one bedroom with twin beds and a good double sofa bed in the lounge, bathroom with shower basin and wc. There is a small washing machine plumbed in for your use. The kitchen is off the lounge and has all the usual appliances. Cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and enough equipment to cook as you would at home.
The apartment is on ground floor level at the sea front and overlooks the pool complex which has a childrens pool and a heated large swimming pool. There are plenty of sun loungers available.
If you are hiring a car we have an allocated parking space in the garage. Electric doors operate the garage and the key fob can be collected on arrival at the apartment block ( €30 deposit is required and is refunded when the garage key is returned ). The garage space is on level 2 and is very conveniently situated for the lift and stairs to level one.
We supply clean towels and linen for your stay. If you would like a welcome pack we can also arrange this i.e. bottled water, milk, bread, tea, coffee etc. This can be paid for locally on arrival.
On booking the apartment we will send out an information pack with regards to arriving in Tenerife, taxi fares. We arrange for you to be met at the apartment building to collect the keys and show you where the apartment is situated. We can also arrange pick up and drop off to and from the airport if you wish.
This year the rental is £250.00 per week. We can take bookings for shorter periods and if you want a month, we can offer a discount. Just call Julie on 07866 49 49 28 and discuss what you want to do.
The Trade Winds on average give a mild 22.3°C.
Sea breeze's, the trade winds and the cool Gulf current produce warm, but not stifleing Summers and pleasant Winter temperatures ranging between 17°C and 21°C. This means in the winter, you can drive up the mountains to walk through the snow, and only a few kilometres away you can enjoy the beach soaking up the sun.

Taxis
Taxis are readily available, just walk along the road to the Santa Barbara complex next door where they are usually parked outside.
Buses
Many tourists use local buses. The bus timetable can be found on the notice board in the foyer. Walk up the unmade road opposite the apartment block, to the right of Best Buys supermarket. At the top, by the trampoline is a bus stop. The 470 from Playa de las Americas to El Madano, goes via Los Abrigos ( also goes the other way to Playa de las Americas ).

Island Car Hire – are located in San Blas a brief walk along the sea front path or €5 taxi ride. The man in the shop is English, so no problem with language and they are always ready to negotiate.

Traffic Regulations
Drive on right – overtake on left. Children under 10 years must travel in the back wearing safety harness. Always carry your driving licence, and insurance with you in the car. Blood alcohol level is low – penalties severe.
Garage Parking
If you do decide to hire a car, the apartment has an allocated parking space in the underground car park. You can of course, park where you wish, but not outside the apartment block in the street, as you will get towed away.
Shops for food and souvenirs are also close by. A cash point is within walking distance, left out of the apartment 300m towards the AquaMarina Hotel. Just across the road from the apartment, is the Best Buys Mini-Market open 08:00hrs to 21:00hrs every day.
There is a good selection of restaurants located within walking distance. Turn right along the front passing the Marina 11 ( very good place to eat ) with music at night. Keep going until you reach The Harbour Lights restaurant owned by John and Jayne, who will be give a warm welcome and an excellent value for money menu, with good wines as well. The menu is mostly English cuisine, we recommend the superb Sunday Lunch ( see brochure in apartment for prices ).
Walk out at the front of the building, turn left and there is the Marina 1 restaurant ( good ), a small Spanish mini market and a Chinese restaurant, in front of which there is a cash point. On the other side of the road, are the Winter Gardens – Food, Entertainment, Bowling, all available to non-residents. Also, they do fish / chips “BOGOF” on Fridays at 6pm, very good so we have been told ( especially if it is the lady chef ) says Gwen - €8.50 for two.
A short walk across the road from the apartment, is the Wilde Geese Irish pub. They serve food, beer, draft Guinness.
SAN BLAS Go out the side door to the sea front, turn left, walk along coast path ( ladies you may need flat shoes for this ), just keep going, it is bumpy for 200m and then evens out again. Stop off at the El Nautico bar for a beer and lovely views over the ocean. They serve quite nice snacks.
Carry on to San Blas, journey time about 20 minutes. Explore San Blas, it has many restaurants, a Lidl supermarket, a nightclub called taboos. Open air entertainment during the evening in the top square, lots of little shops and a bank in the centre, together with a cash point. Taxis are available near Cafe Verde, priced about € 4 or € 5 back to apartment.
We are not far from Los Christianos for anyone who wants some serious shopping, the taxi fare is around €18.

Most restaurants open all day every day, until about 22.30hrs.
Some start at 10.00am, some not until lunchtime. ( check the times )
Some of the pubs keep open until 02.00hrs or even later, as do the Night Clubs.
Golf del Sur
Small market on Fridays outside Agua Marina Hotel ( out of front, turn left ) and starts about 10.00am, finishing around lunchtime.
Los Cristianos
Large market on Sundays, near the Arona Hotel, starts 10.00am and finishes at Lunchtime. It gets very busy, so go early. Taxi about €18 one way.
Los Abrigos
Night market every Tuesday 18.00hrs until 22.00hrs in town square. Nice fish restaurants here. You can walk along coastal path from San Blas to Los Abrigos, although we would recommend daytime only.

Santa Cruz – Capital
Big city, busy and about 1 hour by car from apartment.
Los Cristianos
Shopping very nice : Santiago Shopping Centre, good shops, air-conditioned, many taxis. Large harbour for cruise boats with plenty of large hotels.
Puerto de la Cruz, Playa de las Americas and all of the popular coastal places are described inside the map of the island, together with illustrated places of interest.
The nearest sandy beach is located at Abrigos which is approximately 20 minutes walk away, ( 5 minutes by car ) or the large beach at Los Christianos which has everything for the sun and sea worshipper. If you are going by taxi then you need to make this a full day out because of the cost of hiring sun beds and umbrellas.
Close by is the small and very nice new development of San Blas this can be reached by sea front walk ( 10 minutes ) or by road 20 minutes. There are banks, shops, restaurants and some good bars selling tapas and local specialities. On route to San Blas via sea front there is a lovely bar overlooking the sea for a short stop and a drink perhaps. Also on this route there is an open sea pool built into the rocks, this is for everyone's use, unsuitable for non-swimmers but good fun as the sea waves come in over the sides. If you have too much shopping to carry there are taxis easily available for the short journey home ( approx € 5 ).
The apartment is located between 2 golf courses and is also close to a third.

Details of the courses are included in the information pack, we can also arrange bookings for golf days and transport to and from the courses so everyone can have a drink after a game and no one has to drive back or bother to locate taxis. Again this is paid locally, but can be booked through us.
Please spend some time reading about Tenerife Island as there are many places to visit during your stay and it does have a wonderful national park, which is a very beautiful place to visit, and there are many walks on the island. We bought our apartment as we enjoy the safety and security of its location. A secure door system is in operation, which gives you confidence and security for everyone who stays. There are some rules with regards to the pool and surrounding areas of the building and apartment. On arrival, our agent will give you a check sheet about this for your information and contact telephone numbers are also on this list if you have any problems or are in need of any assistance from us.
